The installation is very easy and any one with basic mechanical skills should be able to do it. The instructions come with the kit. You remove the change pocket on top of the dash and the housing fits there. That pocket pops out so no tools are needed to remove it. As far as the wiring, it is a one wire installation and even comes with a "wiretap" kit to get power. The unit can be grounded to the dash.
